COVERING COMICS: THE BEST COMIC COVERS OF 3/18/15

Welcome to the second week of Covering Comics, our weekly column highlighting some of the best covers of the previous week! Here we are just trying to show off some of the great covers that come with our favorite stories! Here are five of the best covers!

COVER OF THE WEEK: Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 10 #13 by Steve Morris

Our cover of the week goes to Steve Morris’ Buffy cover, featuring a gorgeous scene highlighting Willow. The scene is full of cool blues and subtle greens, and make this cover really easy on the eyes.

Divinity #2 By Jelena Kevic-Djurdjevic

Who doesn’t like a cool picture of space? This cover focuses on the smaller details of space, rather than capturing the massive scope of the void out there. What’s really impressive about this one is the attention to light reflecting off of the rocks. It’s a simple picture that shows off of more than most.

New 52: Future’s End #46 by Ryan Sook

Ryan Sook created a really powerful image for the cover of Future’s End this week. There’s plenty of raw emotion here, and the use of blacks and reds really cap off a stunning cover.

Sensation Comics Featuring Wonder Woman by Jae Lee

While this image has been up for quite some time due to the weekly digital series, this is the first time Lee’s cover has made it to the stands. Any cover by Lee requires recognition, but this is one of his standouts.

Batgirl: Endgame #1 by Rafael Albuquerque

A different Rafa cover got a lot of attention this week, and it’s not fair that it is overshadowing this one. Batgirl simply looks terrifying here, and it captures how strong that character has become, even when facing the man that completely changed her life.
